Cookbooks or recipes for a not-so-savvy cook?

I don't cook very often, but would like to start. I love to bake. Cooking is a whole different experience for me though. Grilled cheese and pasta are basically the extent of my cooking skills. My boyfriend and I eat out almost every night and I would really like this to stop. I was wondering if anyone could recommend cookbooks or recipes for beginner cooks. Thanks!Cookbooks or recipes for a not-so-savvy cook?

I love to collect church cookbooks. The recipes in them are always good and you know they've all been tested. If you're looking for recipes from around the world, try the Betty Crocker International Cookbook. They give step-by-step instructions for inexperienced cooks. Good luck and have fun!
