Course, you can always do fried chicken or fried pork chops, etc. Here is one that I like in mine...
Swedish Meatballs (I know, there are hundreds of recipes...)
1 lb burger
1 can french onion soup w/1/2 a can water
1/3 C crumbs (saltines, bread...)
1 egg
1 T minced onion
1 T parsley
pepper
Mix burger and 1/4 cup of soup mixture with the rest of the ingredients. Shape into meatballs and brown in skillet. Pour the rest of the soup mixture over. Simmer about 20 minutes. You can either cook noodles in the broth or thicken it for gravy over mashed potatoes. I love this.
My mother in law used to make her beef or pork roasts in the elec fry pan and hers were great. I can never seem to get enough liquid in it for gravy. Wish I could!Recipes to cook in an electric skillet....?
I've honestly just converted regular oven recipes to use in my electric skillet. It's a life saver in the summer time.
I just put it in there %26amp; treat it as a small oven with a glass window I can watch really carefully to make sure my food's not burning.
Happy cooking.
You can boil some pieces of chicken, whatever pieces you like, and put them in there with BBQ sauce and let simmer for about an hour. It just falls off the bone, I use boneless so it falls apart when getting it out of the pan. It's yummy!! I also used mine to make grilled cheese and really, anything you would do in a frying pan. Good luck!
