The recipe says to add sour cream AFTER cooking, but I put it into the crockpot accidently. Is this ok?

Or did I ruin it? Will cooking the sour cream make it curdle or anything? It also had chicken, spices, onions %26amp; salsa in the mix...The recipe says to add sour cream AFTER cooking, but I put it into the crockpot accidently. Is this ok?
It will make the sauce a little creamier,but it will melt in the crockpot. You'll need to put more in later for the cold, thicker textureThe recipe says to add sour cream AFTER cooking, but I put it into the crockpot accidently. Is this ok?
The extra cooking time will break down the properties of the sour cream to something less desirable and it will lose the flavor it was intended to add to the recipe and your result, though edible, will be much less flavorful than was intended.

Now, that being said, go ahead and, if you still have some left, add new Sour Cream AFTER the cooking is done and you might just save the dish from a catastrophic ending.
Sorry I didn't get back to you last night. It should be fine. Just like a big casserole wit hthe in it. Once you remove the chicken when i is done I would add a biy more sour cream just to ';freshen it up';
The sour cream will curdle, but I wouldn't say that it's ruined. It may not look as appetizing, but it'll taste just fine. At the end of cooking, add a little more.
No this is not okay. Its ruined.
