I need a recipe for apple crisp that uses granny smith apples, and quick cooking oats, anybody?!?

5 medium tart apples, peeled, cored, and sliced


1/3 cup firmly packed light brown sugar


1/3 cup granulated sugar


1/2 cup all-purpose flour


3/4 cup quick cooking oats


1/2 cup melted butter


1/3 cup water


whipped cream or vanilla ice cream





Arrange sliced apples in a buttered 8-inch square baking dish. In a bowl, combine the sugars, flour, and oats; stir in melted butter. Spread mixture over the apples. Pour water evenly over top. Bake in a 375掳 oven for 30 minutes, until apples are tender and top is nicely browned. Apple Crisp


6-8 Apples sliced thin


3/4 C quick oats


1/2 C butter


1 C brown sugar


1/2 C flour


Place peeled apples in well greased baking dish. Combine other ingredients and spread over apples. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. May be served plain or with sauce.I need a recipe for apple crisp that uses granny smith apples, and quick cooking oats, anybody?!?
Apple Crisp Recipe


INGREDIENTS:





* 3 pounds tart apples


* 2 tablespoons lemon juice


* 1/2 cup brown sugar


* 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon


* 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg


* 1/3 cup all-purpose flour


* 1/3 cup granulated sugar


* 1/3 cup rolled oats


* 4 tablespoons cold butter (1/2 stick)


* 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans





PREPARATION:


Peel, core and chop apples, toss in a bowl with lemon juice to prevent darkening. In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg; stir into apples. Set aside.





In another bowl combine flour, sugar and oats. Cut butter into 8 pieces, and cut butter into flour until mixture looks like crumbs. Stir in nuts. Butter a 10 X 10-inch baking dish. Spread apples in bottom of baking dish then sprinkle with flour mixture. Bake at 375掳 for 30 to 45 minutes, or until apples are tender and topping is lightly browned. Serve warm or at room temperature.
