Gado-gado (Indonesian)
Choose a Selection of the following:
cauliflower
carrots
green beans
spinach
celery
cucumber
bean sprouts
For the first three veggies listed, cut into bite-size pieces and place in boiling water for a few minutes to cook slightly. The others can just be chopped up bite size.
Cut the tofu into cubes and pan fry it on all sides until crispy in minimal oil. Traditionally you also add cut-up hard boiled eggs, but you don't have to.
Chill all ingredients together, then pour this peanut sauce over all:
1 c. hot water
1 onion, chopped very fine or pureed
1-2 cloves garlic, minced
2/3 c. peanut butter
1 T. sugar
1 t. salt
1/4 t. ground ginger
hot dried red peer, to taste
2 T. veg. oil
Mix all together in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring regularly. Let cool. Pour over veggies, serve with rice.I eat a lot of Tofu but running out of ideas how to cook. Does anyone have any recipes?

This should keep you busy for a while. Yummmy. I love to just throw tofu on my salad and top with any type of dressing. Trader Joe's Sesame Ginger is my favorite.I eat a lot of Tofu but running out of ideas how to cook. Does anyone have any recipes?
Drizzle with a little soy sauce and sesame oil and eat cold. DELICIOUS.
Or, if you have access to an asian grocery store, eat it with pickled bamboo shoots. it's really really good. Or, make congee (1 cup rice, 10 cups water, cook until the rice is all broken up) and eat the tofu with that.
-Tofu cut it into small cubes an deep fry it with small deep fried pork cuts dipped in soy sauce mixed with a little vinegar and mash fresh garlic in it and throw in slices of white onion.
-Cut tofu in cubes again and pour garlic chili sauce over it.
Too much Tofu is NOT good for you.
Do some research on the web for the negatives of using too much soy in general, including Tofu.
